Performance Analysis and Testing of Spiral Quantitative Fertiliser Distributors in Orchards

This study designed two levels of quantitative fertilizer distribution to investigate precision fertilization applications in orchards South Xinjiang, China, which have vast rows and narrow plant spaces. The machine comprised a base frame, ditching device, fertilizing apparatus an earth-covering device. design parameters the flow stabilization screw, conveyor screw single-ring quantity were summarised using theoretical analysis. was verified via experiment by combining EDEM software. Three-factor three-level Box–Behnken tests conducted spiral rotation speed conveyor, advancing opening degree outlet as test factors coefficient variation (CV) uniformity index—thus obtaining optimal working parameters. simulation results revealed that 145.6 g, fulfilling requirements. prototype testing showed CV 6.521% when 66 RPM, 42% 2.7 km/h—thus meeting needs operations. distributors applied processes with wide-row spaces China able effectively carry out applications.
